‘Jung_E’ Teaser: New Dystopian Sci-Fi Film From ‘Train To Busan’ Director Hits Netflix In January

Train to Busan and Peninsula director Yeon Sang-ho already has a devoted base of fans for those high-octane zombie action flicks. But he’s also got a very big supporter in Netflix, which has been the home of his series Hellbound for two seasons, and will be the distributor for his upcoming adaptation of manga Parasyte: The Grey. But before that, Netflix will also release Yeon’s dystopian sci-fi film, Jung_E, which has dropped a new teaser.

Set in a post-apocalyptic future, Jung_E centers on an AI lab researcher who attempts to stop a civil war by cloning the brain of her mother, a legendary soldier and war hero.

The film stars Kang Soo-yeon, and Hellbound actors Kim Hyun-joo and Ryu Kyung-soo.

Jung_E will hit Netflix on January 20th 2023.

In a post-apocalyptic near-future, a researcher at an AI lab leads the effort to end a civil war by cloning the brain of a heroic soldier — her mother.
