A24 is on quite a roll. Following the massive success of Everything Everywhere All At Once, which became the studio’s biggest hit ever, they are back with Bodies Bodies Bodies, which has the potential to go even further. For one thing, it taps into the Gen-Z trending style of last year’s hit, Zola, but with a horror twist. A little star power doesn’t hurt, either.
Amandla Stenberg, Pete Davidson, Shiva Baby breakout Rachel Sennott, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova, Lee Pace, Myha’la Herrold (Modern Love), and Chase Sui Wonders (HBO’s Generation) star in the horror film from Dutch actress/filmmaker Halina Reijn (Instinct).
From the beginning, you can tell this thing is going to get crazy real quick, as a group of vapid 20-somethings party hard with a couple of, ahem, older gentlemen. When a game of “Bodies Bodies Bodies” breaks out, they’re unprepared when the body count starts to stack up.
This looks like a blast. Bodies Bodies Bodies opens on August 5th, and will feature the new single “Hot Girl” by Charli XCX.
When a group of rich 20-somethings plans a hurricane party at a remote family mansion, a party game goes awry in this fresh and funny look at backstabbing, fake friends, and one party gone very, very wrong.
