If Sinbad Were In ‘Shazam 2’ It Would Be His First, But He Ain’t In It

The Shazam 2 panel at DC Fandome over the weekend, I thought, was pretty ho-hum. They revealed a cool new title, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, and seriously not much else. And yet, somehow they got the entire Internets shook with the Mandela Effect over the presence of comedian Sinbad, who may or may not be in the movie?

So what the Hell is this all about and, let’s be real, who gives two fucks if Sinbad is in anything??????  Well, the thing is, people still believe Sinbad has already starred in a Shazam movie.  This is not true, and exactly what the Mandela Effect is about. Because Sinbad did have a role in another movie about a genie, except it was titled Kazaam and it starred Shaquille O’Neal.

The Mandela Effect, which is the shared creation of fake memories, is so real and so cemented in people’s minds that Sinbad once made a fake movie to go along with it.

So, back to the panel. When Sinbad actually showed up and cracked jokes with star Zachary Levi about the confusion, some took this to mean that was in Shazam 2. Nobody has confirmed that anywhere. Variety is doubtful and Comicbook.com says nope. So it may or may not be true. I’m guessing that it’s not, but now after all of this buzz he might get a cameo. And that would make this the first Shazam movie Sinbad has actually had a role in.
