Dreamworks Reveals One More Beautiful Trailer For ‘The Wild Robot’

Is The Wild Robot the “greatest Dreamworks movie ever”?? That’s a very bold statement that the newly-released final trailer quotes from The Wrap, especially when you consider such blockbuster franchises as How to Train Your Dragon, Shrek, and Kung Fu Panda. That said, the praise has been glowing from the early festival screenings, which only builds anticipation for the emotional android drama that arrives in a couple of weeks. It’s certainly gorgeous to look at and is almost guaranteed to bring a tear to the eyes.

Featuring the voices of Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Kit Connor and Stephanie Hsu, with Mark Hamill, Matt Berry and Ving Rhames, The Wild Robot is based on the beloved novel by Peter Brown, and directed by Chris Sanders.

SYNOPSIS: The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short — that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.

The Wild Robot opens in theaters on September 27th.
