Remember that Netflix exclusive deal Adam Sandler inked years ago? Well, it apparently extends to his family, too, as they’ve been popping up in his movies a lot lately. Such is the case with his daughter, Sadie Sandler, who was recently seen in Happy Gilmore 2, and now stars alongside Heretic star Chloe East in Roommates, a college comedy about two girls trying to remain friends while living together.
Let me tell you from personal experience, becoming roomies with your homie is a bad deal. Anyway…
Here’s the synopsis: When a hopeful, naive college freshman, Devon, asks the cool and confident Celeste to be her roommate, a blossoming friendship spirals into a war of passive aggression.
This should feel right at home for Sandler, who is currently a freshman at NYU.
Also in the cast are Billy Bryk, Sarah Sherman, Martin Herlihy, Josh Segarra, Carol Kane, Janeane Garofalo, Aidan Langford, Bella Murphy, Jaya Harper, Storm Reid, Ivy Wolk, and Bailee Madison, Natasha Lyonne and Nick Kroll.
The film is directed by Chandler Levack (Mile End Kicks) and written by Jimmy Fowlie and Ceara Jane O’Sullivan.
Roommates hits Netflix on April 17th.
