‘Masters Of The Universe’ Trailer: He-Man Finally Returns To The Big Screen In June

Look, you don’t need me to tell you how many failed attempts at a new Masters of the Universe movie there have been since the terrible 1987 one with Dolph Lundgren It’s been a lot, and you’d be forgiven for thinking it would never happen. But Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel have changed that, and along with director Travis Knight, have a film that seems primed for the summer blockbuster season. He-Man fans, rejoice!

Nicholas Galitzine is the somewhat surprising choice to play Prince Adam/He-Man, joined by Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, James Purefoy as King Randor, plus Charlotte Riley, Sasheer Zamata, and Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto.

SYNOPSIS: Prince Adam is separated from Eternia for 15 years before the Sword of Power leads him back—only to find his home world shattered under Skeletor’s rule. With allies like Teela and Man-At-Arms at his side, Adam has to embrace his destiny as He-Man to save his family and his world.

Masters of the Universe hits theaters on June 5th.
