Back in 2021, Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista, who starred in Dune and the series See together, began teasing a potential team-up flick. A buddy action-comedy, of course, and the idea practically writes itself. Well, it’s been a few years but the film, titled The Wrecking Crew, is right around the corner and Amazon MGM Studios have graced us all with a few first-look images at the teamup flick we’ve all been waiting for.
Directed by Angel Manuel Soto (Blue Beetle, Charm City Kings), The Wrecking Crew stars Momoa and Bautista as estranged half-brothers forced to work together and uncover the truth behind a conspiracy that could tear their family apart.
Also in the cast are Claes Bang, Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Frankie Adams, Miyavi, With Stephen Root and Morena Baccarin.
One thing that’s clear from these images is how much bigger Momoa is than Bautista now. It wasn’t always that way, but Bautista went on a health kick and lost a ton of weight. He’s still a big dude, just not like Momoa is now.
