‘Crime 101’ Trailer: Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, And Mark Ruffalo Star In Bart Layton’s Jewel Heist Thriller

Set against a steamy Los Angeles backdrop and centering on three desperate figures involved in a high-stakes heist, Don Winslow’s novel Crime 101 has often been compared to Michael Mann’s Heat. Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Bart Layton’s adaptation starring Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo, and Barry Keoghan, which hits theaters in February.

Hemsworth stars as Davis, a jewel thief who pulls off high-stakes heists along the 101 Freeway that have stumped police. Berry plays the insurance broker he crosses paths with while planning his final job, with the two deciding to partner up. Ruffalo is the determined detective closing in on the multimillion-dollar crime, blurring the line between hunter and hunted.

Layton is the director behind crime documentary The Imposter, and the impressive heist flick, American Animals, which also starred Keoghan. He co-wrote the screenplay with Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy writer Peter Straughan.

Also in the powerhouse cast are Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte, Tate Donovan, Devon Bostick, Payman Maadi, Babak Tatfi, Deborah Hedwall, Paul Adelstein, Drew Powell, Matthew Del Negro and John Douglas.

Crime 101 hits theaters February 13th 2026.
