If you wanted an idea how different this would be in tone, the film is directed by Josh Boone. He’s known for teen-centric dramas such as The Fault In Our Stars and The New Mutants. Boone was also behind the most recent miniseries adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand. The script is by Mr. Church writer Susan McMartin.
