Next month, Hulu hopes you’ll want to hop into the passenger seat with Samara Weaving in the heist thriller, Eenie Meanie! Stupid title aside, the trailer is promising enough that they might be right.
The film stars Weaving as a former getaway driver who returns to her old life to save her ex-boyfriend, who probably doesn’t deserve all that she’s risking for him.
When it comes to badass female action stars, Weaving is top of the list. She’s best known for her roles in Ready or Not, Snake Eyes, and Bill & Ted Face the Music.
Joining Weaving in the cast are Karl Glusman, Steve Zahn, Andy Garcia, Elle Graham, Marshawn Lynch, Randall Park, and Mike O’Malley. That might be the most fun cast of any streaming flick you watch all summer.
Eenie Meanie marks the directorial debut of Shawn Simmons, who also wrote the screenplay. Deadpool and Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are producers on the film.
SYNOPSIS: The original film follows a former teenage getaway driver who is dragged back into her unsavory past when a previous employer offers her the chance to save the life of her chronically unreliable ex-boyfriend.
Eenie Meanie Hits Hulu on August 22nd.
