A24 is really goin’ hard to promote Bring Her Back, the new film from Talk to Me directors Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou. Perhaps it’s the struggles A24 has had with genre movies this year, but it is refusing to let up and risk that people, somehow, won’t know that this movie exists. A new trailer for the film starring Oscar nominee Sally Hawkins has arrived, and this one reveals more about the plot which has remained a mystery.
Starring two-time Oscar nominee Sally Hawkins, the new film promises to be something completely different from Talk to Me, a breakout hit for the duo back in 2022. She’s joined in the cast by Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips, and Mischa Heywood.
Here’s the brief synopsis: A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.
Bring Her Back opens in theaters on May 30th. This continues to look like it could be the best horror of the year, and a fantastic role for Hawkins. She looks scary as Hell, like the foster mom from Hell.
