‘Roofman’: Peter Dinklage Joins Channing Tatum And Kirsten Dunst In Derek Cianfrance’s Latest

Peter Dinklage’s packed 2024 has seen him star in American Dreamer, the Western drama The Thicket, the action-comedy Brothers, and The Toxic Avenger which may or may not ever see the light of day. He even had a funny cameo in Pop-Tarts movie Unfrosted. The point being that Dinklage continues to be one of the most sought-after actors, and he’s just landed another major role in Roofman, joining Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst.

Deadline reports Dinklage will join Tatum and Dunst in Roofman, the latest film from Blue Valentine and The Place Beyond the Pines director Derek Cianfrance. He last directed The Light Between Oceans in 2016.

Roofman is based on the true story of Jeffrey Manchester, an eccentric serial robber and former U.S. Army Reserve Officer who robbed 60 McDonald’s restaurants at night via the rooftops, earning the nickname “Roofman” and “Rooftop Robber.” Eventually captured and convicted in 2000, Manchester broke free and went on the run, holing up for months in a Toys ‘R Us and falling in love with someone who works there. Hmmmm…that’s probably going to be Dunst. It’s unclear what Dinklage’s role will be.

While unconfirmed, casting suggests we’ll see Roofman in theaters next year.
