‘Transformers One’ Final Trailer: Optimus Prime And Megatron Team Up To Save Cybertron In This Animated Origin Story

If you’ve already seen my review of Transformers One, you know I think its one of the (very) few awesome Transformers movies out there. I can’t say enough good things about this animated buddy-comedy origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, before they were the deadliest enemies.

Chris Hemsworth voices young Optimus Prime with Brian Tyree Henry as Megatron, best friends with big aspirations who find themselves on a dangerous mission to save Cybertron. There’s a lot more to it than that, of course, but with the film only days away, why spoil it? Don’t let the final trailer released today by Paramount do it, either. If you want to go in knowing as little as possible, stay clear.

Directed by Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4), the film features the voices of Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime, Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion, and Steve Buscemi as Starscream.

SYNOPSIS: TRANSFORMERS ONE is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, TRANSFORMERS ONE features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi with Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.

Transformers One opens in theaters September 20th.
