‘The Last Of Us’ Season 2 Teaser: Joel And Ellie’s World Gets Turned Upside Down In 2025

Hooooo boy, I don’t think people are ready for The Last of Us season 2. Fans of the bestselling Naughty Dog video games know that everything is about to change in a significant way, and it’ll be interesting to see what watchers of the show will think of the turn Joel and Ellie’s journey takes, and the raft of new characters into their world.

Of the many new characters introduced, the one that has caused the most buzz is Abby, who will be played by Kaitlyn Dever. The casting choice sorta came out of nowhere because of the physical differences, but that’ll matter a lot less than what Abby is meant to do this season. She is set to become a major player which will greatly impact Joel and Ellie’s relationship.

We also see Catherine O’Hara as a therapist, Isabela Merced, Jeffrey Wright, and the returning Gabriel Luna. Others this season include Rutina Wesley, Young Mazino, Ariel Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord, and Danny Ramirez. Of course, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are back as Joel and Ellie.

Here’s the synopsis for season 2: After five years of peace following the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie’s collective past catches up to them, drawing them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.

The Last of Us returns to MAX in 2025 and will run for seven episodes. Watch the new The Last Of Us Day teaser below!
