James Gunn Teases ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Cast Joining The DCU

What’s one thing we know about James Gunn as a director? He likes to work with the same people repeatedly, such as Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion, his brother Sean Gunn, and more. When Gunn left Marvel to help form the DCU at Warner Bros., it was inevitable that he’d bring some of his Guardians of the Galaxy pals along with him, and now he’s teasing that eventuality to fans.

When asked by a fan on Threads “If you had the chance to cast any of the GOTG stars in the DC Universe, who would you cast them as?”, Gunn responded with “Well that would be a spoiler wouldn’t it?”

Gunn recently wrapped shooting on Superman, and had GOTG star Chris Pratt on set which stirred up the rumor mill about a possible role. Pratt hasn’t shot down the idea of joining Gunn, either, answering “Yes, of course” when asked by TMZ if he would make the jump from Marvel to DC.

Meanwhile, Pom Klementieff, who played Mantis in the GOTG films and Holiday Special, revealed in June that she and Gunn are already having talks about her move.

It’s long been expected that Dave Bautista, who has been one of Gunn’s staunchest supporters, would join the DCU but as of now he does not have a confirmed role.
