‘Apartment 7A’ Trailer: Julia Garner Stars In ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ Prequel Film From ‘Relic’ Director

Julia Garner in APARTMENT 7A

Released in 1968, Roman Polanski’s Rosemary’s Baby is a stone cold horror classic, setting a high bar for scary movies about weird Satanist cults and disturbing pregnancies. Attempts to maintain that level of quality have not been successful, though, with a terrible TV sequel Look What Happened to Rosemary’s Baby, and a poorly-received 2014 miniseries starring Zoe Saldana. But that track record could be changing with Apartment 7A, a prequel movie for Paramount+ starring Ozark Emmy winner Julia Garner.

Garner stars as Terry Ginoffrio, a small but key character in Rosemary’s Baby. The story in Apartment 7A expands what we know about Terry, but also Minnie and Roman Castevet, two more important characters in the original film.

Dianne Wiest, Kevin McNally, Marli Siu, Jim Sturgess, and Andrew Buchan co-star. The film was written and directed by Natalie Erika James, known for the 2020 family horror Relic.

SYNOPSIS: Ambitious young dancer Terry Gionoffrio dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford. When a fellow resident and influential Broadway producer offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in “Apartment 7A” but also in the Bramford itself.

Apartment 7A hits Paramount+ on September 27th.
