Today we have the first teaser trailer for Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3, the latest installment in the bloodiest Cinderella story Hollywood has seen. In a super short 1 minute of footage Leone has managed to set the expectations for Art the Clown’s latest escapade of evisceration to the goriest of heights.
Honestly, thank God for Art the Clown…or maybe we should be thanking Satan? There has been a definite downturn in iconic slasher villains in the last 20 years, depending on who you ask it could be even longer. Sure there’s Jigsaw, Victor Crowley, and you could definitely argue Ghostface as iconic but none of them capture the heights of a Krueger or Voorhes. Art is well on his way to joining those 80s legends on the horror Mt. Rushmore, my only concern is that we may be cruising toward too much.
If you haven’t seen the first two installments of the Terrifier franchise, be warned, there is some sick stuff happening between the credits. As a lifelong horror fan who loves the work of guys like Tom Savini gore has never really been something I thought you could have too much of. I caught myself questioning if I was nearing my limit while watching the first two and based on this teaser it doesn’t look like Damien Leone is pulling back at all, pedal to the viscera coated metal I suppose.
