Giancarlo Esposito Teases His Mystery Marvel Role And Future Appearances

If there’s an actor out there who has proven impossible to pigeonhole, it’s Giancarlo Esposito. The fan-favorite actor is one of the best working today, but you can’t predict where he’ll turn up. He can show up in Ti West’s upcoming horror MaXXXine, or in episodes of The Boys, The Mandalorian, wherever. He loves the superhero stuff, too, and has long talked about his desire to join the MCU. Well, now that he’s in, Esposito is teasing what his mystery role could be.

Speaking at a recent convention (via Legion of Sand), Esposito says his Marvel role is one that fans will never guess, and that he’ll have a continued future going forward…

“The MCU has knocked on my door and it’s a role you won’t predict,” said Esposito. “It will be teased and there will be a series afterwards.”

The early buzz from fans is that Esposito would make an awesome Charles Xavier aka Professor X, leader of the X-Men. That film only just named a screenwriter so it seems premature, but it would be a great fit. Does that mean he’ll need to get a shave?

But I think it’s nothing like that, or another popular pick which is Doctor Doom, nemesis of the Fantastic Four. Those are way too obvious, and I believe Esposito when he says we’re not ready for what his role actually will be.
