‘Constantine’ Sequel Reportedly Dead Following DC Studios Shake-Up

Prior to the formation of DC Studios with James Gunn and Peter Safran, Warner Bros. Discovery set a number of projects in motion. One of those was a real fan-favorite idea, a sequel to 2005’s Constantine with Keanu Reeves set to return. But with the landscape significantly changed, is that sequel still going to happen? Not according to so-called scooper KC Walsh

I mean, the timing does scan. We’ve seen the many shake-ups since Gunn and Safran took over, and they’ve made no bones about scrapping what’s come before. A sequel to Constantine might not be what they have in the cards at this time. It’s very possible that a very different plan is in the works for Hellblazer. He does have quite a history with Swamp Thing and perhaps will turn up in that movie?

Take this with a grain of salt until Gunn confirms or denies the rumor, because he almost certainly will.
