Florence Pugh In Talks To Join ‘Dune’ Sequel As Princess Irulan

It’s amazing how quickly Florence Pugh became everybody’s favorite. I mean, she basically usurped Scarlett Johansson in her own Black Widow movie. That’s some crazy shit. And now she may be joining another huge blockbuster, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune sequel.

THR reports Florence Pugh is in talks to join Dune: Part Two in the crucial role of Princess Irulan, daughter of the villainous Emperor Shaddam IV. She’d be joining Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, and would play a key part in any future sequels beyond this one.

However, it must be stressed that this isn’t a done deal. The script isn’t ready, and shooting would be around the same time as the Madonna biopic directed by Madonna herself, and that’s a role Pugh is also up for. Something tells me she’d choose Madonna, because playing the “Material Girl” could be a career-definer.
