‘Spider-Man 3’: Tobey Maguire And Andrew Garfield Reportedly Back As Peter Parker, Kirsten Dunst & Emma Stone Also Returning

This one has pretty much-been gift-wrapped and set under the tree already, hasn’t it? Following news of Alfred Molina’s return as Doc Ock in Spider-Man 3, Collider is reporting that Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and even Kirsten Dunst (my all-time fave MJ) are all expected to get back into the Spidey business.

So yeah, that’s pretty much everyone you want to see, right? Well, with the exception of Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn aka the Green Goblin. When are THOSE rumors going to start?

Anyway, so it’s clear now that an adventure of multiversal proportions is definitely happening here. From the Raimi-verse you’ve got Maguire, basically the O.G. Peter Parker of the big screen, along with Dunst as Mary Jane, and Molina as Doctor Octopus. From Marc Webb’s pair of Amazing Spider-Man films you’ve got Garfield, Foxx, and Stone assuming pregnancy doesn’t get in the way.

Remember Tom Holland? Yeah, he’s in this, too. Kinda getting lost in the shuffle of his own movie, right? Benedict Cumberbatch is a key factor in this, as well, since Doctor Strange is the guy watching over all of these different alternate universes. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Marisa Tomei will all factor in somehow, too, but right now it’s hard to figure how any of them can have too big of a role. I do, however, demand a meeting between all three Mary Janes.

Spider-Man 3 is expected to arrive on December 17th 2021.
