If you’re looking for cool characters using fast cars to pull off a heist look no further then Gone in 60 Seconds Coming out at the pinnacle of Nic Cage’s high quality blockbuster action run this flick is a neo-classic for so many reasons. I mean, even the character names are next-level cool…Memphis Raines, c’mon you KNOW that’s a guy who wears a leather jacket. Obviously you could spend your quarantine binge-watching the Fast franchise from start to finish, I could also take my wife to McDonald’s for her birthday, both scenarios end the same way. Releasing in 2000 ‘Gone’ shows alot of the source DNA that was used the following year in The Fast and The Furious, it would be impossible for Dom and the Torretto gang to deny that Memphis Raines and his crew were an inspiration for alot of what made that original 2001 F&F film so damn enjoyable. If you still need convincing, Gone in 60 Seconds has something that no Fast film ever will. A 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500, aka the prettiest girl at the ball, Eleanor.
